Project Description
One in four people have depression. One in 25 people will experience a debilitating mental health condition. Many people don't know how to take care of themselves in a healthy way. They think self-care is just bubble baths and face masks ... and while that is great. There is so much more.
Our company advocates self-care education and awareness for all minds. And one way we do that is with our app Mind Star. We are raising funds to help get our app Mind Star launched. Mind Star is an app that rewards users for taking care of themselves with free or discounted products. We also connect users with health professionals in the healthcare marketplace. When a user wants to take their self-care to the level and find a chiropractor, a therapist or maybe a dentist - we have you covered.
We are female owned and operated company with our development team in California. Funds raised will go towards hiring someone to help market the app to college students in the KC area before we move on to other locations across the Midwest. Our goal is to touch every state in the U.S. in the next 2-3 years. Your funding can help make all this possible as we put on the final pieces of the app.
We have curated suggestions from mental health professionals but what's great is that you can add your own items to your routine as everyone's self-care routine and deserves to be celebrated. Businesses part of the incentive program can build their brand and know they are putting some good karma out there in the world by supporting people in their personal development journey. When will the app launch?
We found some minor issues with the Android version; those are currently being fixed. We are working on final pieces needed to meet Apple's approval. Both apps should be available to download by the end of January.
Will the app be free for users?
Absolutely!
What will the funds go towards?
Paying the development team for the final components for the app. Hire someone to handle social media marketing, and manage parts the backside of the app such as the incentive program.
