1. What does Metta mean?
The word Metta comes from ancient Indian Pali language. It means Universal Compassion and Good Will. Metta signifies the love and kindness we must cultivate towards all sentient beings with an intention that all beings find peace and freedom from suffering.
2. Isn't Indian Food Spicy? What can I safely try?
Yes Indian Food has a very complex blend of flavors and certain foods are spicy. However every Indian food item is not loaded with hot chillies. Rashminder has carefully developed a balance of flavor and hotness by cooking everyday for her mother in law who cannot tolerate any chilli at all. Thus whether we offer Indian, Chinese, Mediterranean or other food...there is always a scope for mild to hot spice levels to choose from. Few food items that cannot be altered are taken care by keeping it just right, and often a spicy dipping sauce or pickle works for those who want extra zing.
3. What will be your location?
We will be launching our Food Truck in Floyd County however we will be roaming around Roanoke, Christiansburg, Blacksburg and surrounding areas for Festivals & Events.
4. Will you be transparent with your fund use?
Absolutely. We believe in accountability. We will disclose on our Social Media page, and this Crowdfund's update Page, how the funds have been utilized. Mostly it will go towards getting long term valuable assets for the business like the Food Trailer, various equipment and other essential assets.
5. Can I join your business?
Yes. At present we are just two people with some supporters. However we do plan to expand and build a strong team. We need at least 2 more people onboard as we launch. If you feel aligned with our vision and would like to work with us either full time or as need basis please feel free to write to us.
6. How do I get updates about your progress?
The best way to stay updated is to follow our FaceBook page. You can also check our CrowdFund updates here. We will post our progress report on a regular basis. If you have any query you can write to us at [email protected]
7. What kind of community service you will do?
Something on the same lines as what we are offering in reward program. We plan to dedicate a few days every month to prepare food for distribution. People can offer ingredients or other contribution if they want to participate. We are already talking to local Non Profits in Floyd to execute this. We cannot cherish our success without doing our part for those who need help. So we decided to do this from day 1 and not wait. Good Deeds shouldn't wait, right?
8. Why are we crowdfunding?
We believe in the power of community. We have managed a portion of the funding needed but your contribution will fill the gap for us. A debt free start will facilitate us to dedicate our time and effort towards non profit activities as well. Your support will help us to get the business started and further to contribute to other campaigns and beneficial activities.
