Mental Health Wellness the Black Community

The experience and impact of ongoing racial trauma is significant within the Black and African-American communities. The lack of adequate health care resources limits many people's ability to receive high-quality therapy services. 

EMDR is a highly effective therapeutic intervention that is not readily available to the Black and African-American communities. Approximately half of the funds will be used to train 10 therapists to receive EMDR training.

The remaining funds will be used to pay Masters and Ph.D. level psychotherapists to provide free therapy services to the Black and African-American communities.
