Mental Health for Underrepresented Communities

Melanated Minds Foundation, LLC is a for profit organization committed to three things-educating, promoting, and providing mental health services to underrepresented communities.  Although this organization is operating off of social media platforms- we are determined to create a mobile application and provide mental health services to diverse communities. Currently, the mental health field continues to grow day by day, thus being the number one reason this field is a $100 billion dollar industry. Melanated Minds Foundation, LLC differs from other organizations because we are dedicated to providing culturally competent care, affordable and accessible services to our consumers.  This application will provide each individual with mental health professionals who are trained in cultural competency and equipped to help any individual from diverse backgrounds. As the CEO and Founder of this organization, I hand-picked each individual within my team. My team is composed of individuals who are very hardworking and competent. Within this field- there are several opportunities for learning  and growth. My team members all have an interest in those two areas which helps this organization flourish. I am seeking funding to build our mobile application, which will allow our consumers to choose a mental health professional aligned with their preferences. Our design for our mobile application is completed, however, funding will allow us to complete the application process and begin to address our next goal-expanding services internationally and promoting the importance of mental health care.  Our application will encompass a multidisciplinary team which will include: psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, case management services, addictions counseling, and family therapy, etc to treat individuals struggling with mental health concerns.
