- What is the mission of your company or project? I became a small business owner in the medical billing field in 2004. I started out as wanting to become a nurse, but life has a way of curbing. I've always been in health field due to many of my family are elderly and with health issues. Therefore, I seen an ad stating medical biller, and wanted to see what it was about. I join the class and finish all my certificates within 18 months. While doing this I was a fulltime student with a toddler to take care of. I also wanted to obtain my medical billing certificate because in my family some people suffer from mental illness and wanted to help by sharing therapist that I've worked for to help them through their crisis. So, this field has been an experience for me and i would like to continue growing it and be the best medical biller out there that understands mental health and bill for it as the same time.
- Describe the problem you are solving. I am solving the gap from the providers worrying and struggling with providing services to the clients and always worrying about their billing or how they will be paid.
- What is the market size/opportunity? Mental health providers
- What is your company/product about and how does it solve the problem? it solves a problem by having the provider focus on their patients and delivering excellent service to their clients for them to get well. Stress delivers stress.
- Why are you seeking funding and how will you spend the funding? Need funding for Staff, Equipment, software, advisement and mentorship.
- Who is on your team? Only me
- I appreciate everything and what can be done for my company. I have started since 2016 and at this time, there is a need, millions of people per year are suffering and depression is real. I have also been in the medical field over 10 years and have seen many losses due to mental health. I believe in my business and the providers that I am working with are excellent and their clients are happy.
