Project Description
The mission of my company is to develop models to their highest potential and transform them into industry-leading figures. We strive for diversity not only among our models but also in all roles, including makeup artists, hairstylists, stylists, and other applicants.
The problem in the industry is racism and discrimination. Unfortunately, in 2025 we are still having these issues within the whole industry. Black models and artists often face significant challenges in securing bookings, receiving appropriate compensation, and obtaining proper styling services compared to their white counterparts. B
The market size is about 13.3 billion dollars with massive opportunities to establish my company.
My company is a modeling agency dedicated to promoting diversity in the industry and eliminating racism. We will sign, develop, and collaborate with more Black models and professionals, aiming to establish them as industry standards while generating names and income.
The purpose of seeking funds is to successfully launch my company. This requires covering legal fees, engaging a website developer, and hiring an accountant, all of whom I have already identified and contacted. Additional expenses include travel costs, compensating employees, or contractors for developing models (including runway-pose coaches and stylists), and cosmetology services that are crucial in this business.
Currently, I am the sole member of my team. However, discussions are ongoing with models and contracted artists whom I plan to collaborate with upon launch. Next year, I aim to have signed models, established partnerships, and hire additional agents.
I am deeply appreciative of those who have taken the time to read this. It holds great significance for me, as pursuing this career has been a lifelong ambition since childhood. Many Black models and artists have inspired me on my journey into this industry. I appreciate the understanding and support of my endeavors. The future relies on individuals like me who aspire to bring about positive change within the industry. - A modeling agency scouts, develops, and books jobs for models. The models then complete jobs such as runway, editorial, commercial's, etc.
- How is this beneficial?
- Models are needed in this industry for brand campaigns, promotions, or anything in relevant industries.
- What will these funds go towards?
- Legal cost, software development, accountant fees. Following all that contracting a development team, travel cost, and needed cosmetic fees.
- What is development?
- Development is training the model to be successful. A stylist, runway-pose coach, and eventually a nutritionist. All these are needed to book and to stay relevant in this industry.
- Why are cosmetics needed?
- Cosmetics are needed because models are required to not only keep their image fresh but have nice skin, adjust anything that is needed like braces, keeping healthy hair, etc.
- Will this generate any revenue to your city?
- Yes, this will generate revenue because once we establish who we are, more attention will be brought, and that will bring more businesses here and creating jobs leading to more revenue.
How much experience do you have in this field?
- I have over ten years of expertise in this field. In addition, I have over seven years in finances and bookkeeping.
