The mission of Magic Hour is to create a safe and inclusive space for women, LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC creators to expand through community. Finding event spaces, community spaces and creative spaces geared towards these groups is so hard to do on Oahu, so we are creating Magic Hour to solve that and welcome you to join us.
This community deserves a space meant for them, created by them. One with community interest, not corporate interest. For those that have ever had the experience of not fitting in, or having to conform to something that just isn’t them. Magic Hour will be an affordable, accessible place where you not only see yourself reflected in the community, but the design, the collaborators and the clientele.
With a warm and inviting design, modern amenities for media production such as photo shoots and online content creation, room for artists in residence and pop-up and permanent retail, plus event space for meetings, parties, markets, and networking events, all catered to the community; the dynamic nature of Magic Hour is what makes it so special.
Magic Hour is Queer-Latinx owned, and we’re working with a Native Hawaiian advisor to make sure the space is highlighting and honoring the land it’s on. Every collaborator, artist and creator who will be a part of the Magic Hour collective will share the ideals and priorities of honoring the culture and community.
The funding we receive will allow us to open and furnish the space, making it feel like a second home for all who are involved.
Thank you for being here; this is a community effort in which the benefits will continue to grow as Magic Hour does.
