THE PROBLEM WE ARE TRYING TO SOLVE   

 

xIn New York City, a Black woman is 8 times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than a White woman. This statistic is being publicized more and it has brought in a positive influx of people wanting to be doulas. A doula is a support person, that provides education, advocacy and resources during your birth and postpartum journey. The mental and physical demands from being a doula can also be extremely taxing, which leads to burn out after 2 - 3 years of service.

 

HOW DOES THIS PRODUCT HELP TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM?

Love Alyways, Karma is dedicated to providing doulas with the tools, resources and community needed to support their well-being and longevity in the field: 1. Through our subscription box service, doulas will receive themed products, for self care that will be reflected in the box as a quarterly SURPRISE.  2. By becoming part of the "Love Always, Karma" community doulas are able to connect with like-minded people to be apart of a private FB group, where Monthly Doula Support Circles will occur and resourc

 

WHO IS THIS PRODUCT/SERVICE FOR ? 

Karma Tudor, Inc's Subscription Service "Love Always, Karma" is for active doula's, but we welcome all healthcare workers who need a monthly surprise to subscribe to receive a box as well. There are 9,000 doulas are registered in the US which in comparison to to the increase of expectant birthing people, explains how doula burn out is a concern.

 

WHAT MAKES US QUALIFIED TO RUN THIS INITIATIVE

After years of working in the birthing industry, where the average turnover rate in this industry is a few years.  I understand first hand what burn out feels like and have had to force myself to take a month off at times to unplug and recharge. Many doula's have not had the opportunity to take a break to avoid the burnout. "Love Always, Karma" will reinforce and remind them to take care of themselves.

 

HOW THE FUNDS WILL BE USED

I am raising funds to introduce and market the subscription box, so that it will cost the subscribers $50 Quarterly.

What percentage of the donation goes towards the creation of the Self Care Doula Box?

100% of the funds go towards the creation of the box,  the items within the box and the cost to run a subscription service to ensure the subscribers receive their quarterly themed boxes promptly. 

 

So, I can either purchase products or donate cash?

Yes, you can make a donation for a reward, or you can make any monetary donation.
