More and more people seem to be sleeping on the floor. It's better for your posture, muscle release, blood circulation, & not to mention creates space in your home.
The problem is that there currently exists no all-in-one floorsleeping solution that is durable and doesn't break the bank !
Enter laylo.
We've designed a bed designed to go directly on the floor. It's created with organic cotton + latex + filled with upcycled ocean plastic ♻. And that's not even the best part! The bottom was created with cork which is anti-bacterial, anti-dust, anti-moisture, and not to mention insulating from the floor.
That totally beats any mattress-on-the-floor / diy solution / imported shikibuton which is meant to go on tatami floor ($).
We've even designed a backrest + floormat. for extra aesthetic, but even more: to turn your floorbed. into a floorsofa. during the day. Creating space in your home for more activities, yoga, working-out, or just s p a c e 🧘♂️ !
We envision a future where people ask themselves: why do we even need bedframes ?
We believe a conscious future doesn't only ask "What more do we need ?". Instead asks: "What do we not need ?" <3

We are seeking funding for two main reasons:
1. We need funding to create a beautiful fundraising/ crowdfunding video! To honour this bed and really showcase the design!
2. We are seeking funding to promote our first launch! We know people are looking for this! We want to make it easy for them to find and that costs $
T H E T E A M
The team is actually foundationally a family business. It consists of me, Ayla, a 28-year-old, Female, mixed race, Asian + Caucasian immigrant living in Canada working as a yoga instructor and movement teacher + my father, a furniture + textile industry veteran based in Shanghai. We've partnered with one other furniture industry veteran who is Australian/Asian and also based in Shanghai to build this team.
