Who We Are

LaSette Lingerie is a versatile lingerie brand that you can wear from the boardroom to the bedroom. With our lingerie, you will feel supported, confident, and powerful. We show everyday women how to incorporate lingerie into their every day and every night -- turning "intimateness" into empowerment.

The Problem

Here's the problem: For decades, mass media and the apparel industry have traditionally showcased one type of woman to market lingerie. Because of this limitedness, many of us have been excluded. Additionally, advertising in the lingerie industry has focused on sex and sexual experiences by way of the male gaze. As a result, our society has come to know lingerie as a prop for special occassions. Since 2018, we have been determined to prove that lingerie should not be a hidden pleasure, but rather an empowering tool that is accessible to women in our everyday lives.

Our Mission

LaSette Lingerie is on a mission to empower women to feel limitless through lingerie. Specifically, we debunk myths of who lingerie is for by including and showcasing everyday women in our process and across our platforms. We also make the confidence of women a priority rather than happiness of a potential partner. Because let's be real, we all love to be sexy, just on our terms!

With 7 years spent building a career in fashion, I am uniquely qualified to run this company because I have both experience in the fashion industry as well as being a member of our own target audience. I know first hand how empowering it is to not only feel seen as consumer, but represented and reflected by the brands I consume. Attending Parsons The New School during the height of the Free The Nipple movement was the catalyst for me to bridge the gap between lingerie and everyday life. After graduating from Parsons in 2017, I decided I wanted to spread that visibility and representation around to the women in my life and beyond; thus the idea of transitional lingerie was born.

On the journey to create a 360 user experience of LaSette Lingerie, I am raising $30k in order to better connect with our consumers. By expanding our team and conversation series, Body Talk, and through in-person events and activations, we will be able to strengthen our community in 2022 and beyond.

Meet Our Founder

Shiara LaSette Robinson has a Fashion Design degree from Parsons The New School, and a BBA from The University of Kentucky. She is a former Division I Tracklete, turned Producer extraordinaire with 7years of fashion production experience. Venturing through life combining her love for fashion, sports, and production — she hopes to inspire and convey there are no limits! Catch her volunteering in Brooklyn, throwing a party, enjoying a game of sand volleyball, or at the local taco spot.
