WHAT WE DO
Our mission is to help close the gender wage and leadership gap by training women how to advance in their careers.
We provide online and offline education and have an online community where thousands of women worldwide share advice, resources, jobs, and more.
In less than 18 months, we’ve grown to over 20,000 members from all 50 states and more than 100 countries. We've received countless emails from women who tell us that because of Ladies Get Paid, they now believe in their worth, speak up for themselves, and have gotten promotions, raises, and brand new jobs. You can read some of their testimonials below.
Due to the sensitivity of topics we discuss, such as sexual harassment and sexism in the workplace, many of our events were for female-identifying and non-binary people only. We wanted to create a space where we could be vulnerable with one another and share freely, without judgment or intimidation.
WHY WE'RE RAISING MONEY
Last year we were sued for gender discrimination. The men who sued us are affiliated with a group that routinely target other organizations like ours who are doing important work to advance the fight for equality. They exploit the Unruh Civil Rights Act, a law intended to protect the very people they sue, and have brought more than 300 suits like the one against Ladies Get Paid, including one against the Violence Against Women Act.
This group sued Ladies Get Paid, our founder Claire Wasserman, and six of our ambassadors who helped organize our events.
As a two person startup with no funding, this has been both financially and emotionally devastating for us. But getting sued demonstrates exactly why Ladies Get Paid needs to exist. We are so proud of the work we do and the momentum we’ve created, and there’s no WAY we can let this lawsuit stop us. We just need your help.
WHERE THE MONEY IS GOING
The money we raise will help defray legal costs related to the suit. By contributing, you'll also help us grow the Ladies Get Paid team and provide more services to our community. This includes:
- Library of educational videos
- Member portal
- Directory of career coaches and vendors
- More events and workshops in more cities

WE HAVE SOME FANS :-)
“As a 20-something woman and mother, my time and energy is something that I have not valued nor expected others to value as much as I should. Your Instagram stories have empowered me to recognize my seemingly insignificant "soft skills" as important assets, and encourages me to take a deeper look into who I am as I begin to pursue a career path that ignites passion and meaning into my life.”
“LGP has been the best addition to my life in 2017, however, not for salary reasons. It has been the best outlet for career advice, guidance, friendships...basically free therapy! I LOVE LGP.”
“This talk made me feel proud to be a woman."
“The outpouring support through this platform and that I am not alone and should never feel like I am at loss. It has really been an amazing journey so far and I really hope I can also give back in any way I can the way you and all the thousands of ladies are giving me.”
“I'm happy LGP exists to give women like myself a platform to be me.”
“A million times thank you not only for investing in me but the remarkable work you're doing everyday through Ladies Get Paid to empower women like me across the country and globe. I feel so blessed to be part of this fascinating community.”
“I was moved and bolstered and I felt the powerful energy of the female collective in that room tonight in my bones. We are powerful together and I needed a reminder of that today.”
“I left the panel gushing with some of my best girlfriends. We all remarked the same thing: we have not yet been to a networking event in Philadelphia that has made us feel so empowered, supported and challenged. And how often do we get to sit in a room full of such intelligent, badass women??”
“I left feeling empowered and unstoppable. I felt as if I had a room full of strangers that supported and rooted for my success."
"I feel more prepared for any discrimination I may face as I enter the workforce as a woman, as well as being more informed on how to handle those situations."
"I obtained knowledge tonight that I will carry for the rest of my career and life.”
“The LGP conference was life changing to me. In the 'How to Ask for a Raise' session I realized I was about to ask for less that I deserved based on how I was hired, not my current output i.e. I realized I was going to let my history decide the next step. That session was the difference of a 15k increase to me.”
“My boss told me that seeing your Instagram Story made him think that he's not paying me the same than my coworker for the exact same job. And now I'm getting a raise.
“Seriously something cosmic afoot in this community!”
Thank you so much for contributing and sharing this campaign. Your support will help us keep our doors open so we can continue to serve women everywhere.
In gratitude,
Team LGP
