WHO ARE WE? Juicygreens is opening Jamaica Plain's first neighborhood juice bar & cafe. We are on a mission to nourish, heal, and energize Boston with our delicious plant-based foods and doctor approved menu. We are specializing in cold-pressed juices, smoothies, elixirs, arepas, toasts, acai bowls, salads, soups, and local roasted single origin coffee.  We have been inspired to educate and make delicious, healthy plant-based food that is accessible to all.

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?  We are convinced that food is medicine and that we are what we eat.  After working as a public school teacher for many years, I noticed I felt my best when my body was nourished with healthy nutritious foods.  I also experienced a direct connection in the classroom between my student's unhealthy food choices and school performance.  My husband, Dr. Michael Lowney, who is an osteopathic doctor and a major advocate for healthy eating, had been struggling to find nutritious food choices around his JP and Hyde Park office.  The lack of healthy choices around us gave birth to an idea that later became our mission.  Juicygreens brought us together to bring you a place where you can come with your family, co-workers, and friends to learn, nourish, heal and energize your body with our menu. 

♥CONTINUING THE LEGACY  Our first juicer was a gift from my late mother-in-law, Irene Lowney, who set the example of what it takes to be a nurturing mom, while at the same time working on a vision to impact a community. Our family has been providing Boston residents with high quality health care for many decades at the Lowney Medicial Building in Hyde Park.  We will continue this work by creating a fun, casual, community and family oriented space with food and drinks that serves your body and soul.

OUR SOCIAL MISSION:  Juicygreens is partnering with local schools to support wellness initiatives and make healthy smoothies affordable to the youth.  We will also allow our customers to support our “soup with purpose” program which will provide local elderly living at nursing homes with free soup. Your help will support our investment in this community by allowing us to build a space worthy of its residents.
