Project Description
I'm ready, it's my time. I have been a pastry chef in NYC for about 10 yrs, and I think know it's my time to make my dream of owning my own bakery come true. I aspire to open a modern Parisian/ European style bakery in Brooklyn, NY called Je T'aime Patisserie. With your help, I can make it a reality.
Je T'aime specializes in amazing unique pastries while also wanting to provide a Parisian/ European experience with our pastries and a fun aesthetic. Our mission is to provide quality and delicious pastries while also connecting with the community through art and food.
With hopes to put the bakery in Brooklyn, NY we hope to bring a new style of business to the area. Based on personal knowledge residents in underserved communities do not often get to see black owned, gourmet" pastry shops in the area. I want to be able to be apart of the growth in the neighborhoods. I want to help mend the gap in this food dessert, and allow people to experience great, fresh, gourmet , baked daily foods in their neighborhood.
Je T'aime aims to be that place people can go not only to get a quick bite, but for that bite to be amazing as well. This can be the start of an amazing business and exceeding potential in growth for the business. and the neighborhood.
I hope to help solve some of the food disparity in the neighborhood. Statistically in more urban neighborhoods you can find unhealthy, fast-food and big corporations feeding the community. Je T'aime wants to provide amazing, quality, healthy, fresh food with variety to the community. We want to be the start of the food change we hope to see in our neighborhood and community.
I am seeking funding to help with the opening of the bakery. The money will go towards renovating the space, buying equipment and inventory for the patisserie. It will also go to marketing and branding as this is very important for any business.
The team is just me (Jatee) for now , I would love to be able to hire others to join in the creative and business process once funding is received.

Where will Je T'aime Patisserie be located?
We would to open Je T'aime in Brooklyn, NY to assist with my dream of providing my childhood neighborhood with amazing pastries
When can I expect to receive my reward?
Once donation is made we will log in your location and have your gift shipped out to you in 5-7 business days.
When will the retail location be open?
With high hopes we would love to have our location ready by next year 2023!
