Meticulously constructed, sustainable, and ethical unisex playclothes for active kids ages 4 and up.
Project Description
The Problem
Parents of active kids know the challenge well: No matter how much or how little we spend on kids clothes, nothing lasts. Pants fall apart and don't stand up to kids' daredevil ways. This creates a mountain of waste and means that we end up buying more clothes for our kids than we should have to.
The Solution
JackaloTM solves this problem with meticulously constructed, sustainable, and ethical playclothes for kids ages 4 and up. Our first collection is a set of six pants (and a coverall) all designed for active play, reinforced where needed most. We source the highest quality organic and fair trade cotton and manufacture ethically in Portugal. This means that from seed to closet, we know how your child's garment was produced. You can feel confident that the clothes you buy are doing good, not harm.
Why We Need Your Help
We are raising money to support the first production run for JackaloTM. These funds will allow us to buy the highest quality organic and fair trade fabric and pay a fair wage for sewing and assembly.
About Us
Jackalo™️ was founded by Marianna Sachse, a mother and maker. After years of frustration with clothes that didn't stand up to her active son she decided to take matters into her own hands and make playclothes better.

What does "Jackalo™️" mean?
The name Jackalo™️ comes from a children's playground song. We are all about play, so it felt like a perfect fit. 😋
What sizes do the clothes come in?
All of our clothes come in sizes 4-14
Why nothing for smaller kids?
Around age four, kids start growing more slowly. This means they actually have time to wear clothes out. It also means that there are fewer second hand clothes for big kids. Our clothes will last long enough to look great into the hand-me-down phase.
When will the clothes arrive?
We are working with our factory to complete production in early September. Our goal is to deliver your clothes in time to kick off the fall months!
