IWN - Empowering Women 2024
Empowering and inspiring the next generation through mentorship.

Project Description
Our Mission
The Industrious Women's Network is a college mentorship program that helps college women succeed in school and prepare them for their careers after graduation.
The Problem
Here's the problem: Students are unprepared and lacking the skills needed to be marketable in the job field because of a lack of knowledge about available resources that assist them in being competitive after graduation.
The Facts (Evidence):
- On average, it takes between 3-6 months for a student to obtain a job after graduation.
- 53% of college graduates are unemployed or working in a job that does not require a bachelor's degree
The Solution
The Industrious Women's Network solves this problem by offering workshops that teach students how to :
1. properly articulate their skills on a resume,
2. professionally brand themselves using online careers profiles,
3. build business connections by engaging with established career professionals,
3. successfully perform in interviews, and
4. gain practical hands-on experience through internships and job shadowing to be equipped for life after graduation.
How You Can Help
There are several ways to support IWN.
1. Sponsor a student by becoming a monthly sponsor for simply $25 a month which is $.83/day.
2. Become a mentor and engage with the ladies to see them succeed in their career goals.
3. Give a one time donation and receive an IWN cup!
