At Úrú Collective, we’re building the infrastructure behind Africa and the Middle East’s most influential storytellers, speakers, and creators.

The Market Opportunity

The global speaking industry is worth billions, yet Africa and the Middle East remain largely untapped when it comes to spotlighting the region’s thinkers, builders, and cultural leaders. Around the world, conferences, institutions, and media platforms are searching for bold, authentic voices that can offer fresh global insight — not just entertainment.

Úrú Collective is stepping into this gap by representing the speakers and creators who are shaping culture, business, and public conversation across the continent and diaspora. We’re building the pipeline that didn’t exist.

Our current work with cultural strategist and journalist Joey Akan — including his podcast Afrobeats Intelligence presented by OkayAfrica, which has surpassed 1.5 million audio downloads and 1 million views on YouTube— is a clear proof of concept: we know how to develop talent, amplify voices, and position people to lead.

This role will help us manage daily operations, coordinate communications, and free up creative and strategic bandwidth to grow.

2. Tier Two — Office Space + Furnishing

Goal: $9,000
We’re ready for a small Lagos-based home for Úrú — a space to host clients, collaborate with creatives, and run our operations. This includes basic furniture and equipment.

3. Tier Three — Account Coordinator

Goal: $2,500
To help manage projects, timelines, and deliverables for both our speakers and agency clients. Organization = excellence.

4. Tier Four — PR Coordinator

Goal: $2,500
This role will help us amplify our clients, stories, and impact. From press outreach to media coordination — it’s time Úrú’s work gets seen and heard.

5. Tier Five — Production Coordinator

Goal: $2,500
With multiple shows, podcast launches, and campaigns, this team member will manage content shoots and production timelines across Úrú projects.
