Help us Create at Good Day Selfie Museum
More than selfies, it’s an experience!
Project Description
Good Day Selfie Museum is a self-serve photography studio where people of all ages, gender identities, and religious backgrounds can create memories! Our 20+ sets were designed and created by me, a 22-year old black female, who created this while experiencing depression and anxiety triggered by the pandemic. I wanted to create a space where people could forget about their problems, even if it was just for an hour! Good Day Selfie Museum promotes positive energy throughout the space! “More than selfies, it’s an experience” - This is our tagline because I want people to know that we are more than a place where you take pictures for social media; we are also a place for smiles, laughter, gathering and more. Good Day is not just in our name, it’s our mission!
As a young creative, I sit all day in my notebook going through different designs, concepts, and sketches that I would execute in Good Day. Most of those ideas I am not able to bring to life due to financial reasons. Although, I love the way Good Day looks now, I have a vision for the museum and I know it could be bigger and better! I design and build the sets and I can only do so much. With financial support I would be able to hire professionals to help execute larger projects. I have so many set ideas that would bring so much joy to my community!
Thank you for reading about my story! I appreciate it and I hope you have a GOOD DAY!
