Project Description

Help Us Build Ryder’s Rescue Ranch & Children’s Discovery Center
Creating a Community Haven for Families in Pahrump, NV

Dear Friends,

Pahrump, NV, is a beautiful community, but for families, it often feels like there’s a lack of places to connect, explore, and grow together. That’s where Ryder’s Rescue Ranch & Children’s Discovery Center comes in. We’re Chelsea and Jennifer, partners in life and business, and we’re building a sanctuary where families can interact with rescued animals, participate in engaging activities, and create lasting memories—all while learning empathy, responsibility, and the importance of conservation and community.

What We’re Building

We’re on a mission to transform our 5-acre ranch into a licensed family-friendly business and nonprofit that serves as a safe, welcoming space for all. Here’s what we plan to offer:

  • Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation: We rescue and rehabilitate large and exotic animals, integrating them into our ranch. Kids and families can learn to care for these animals, fostering empathy, responsibility, and respect for all living beings.
  • Educational Conservation Initiatives: Families will learn about the animals, their natural habitats, and conservation efforts to protect local wildlife and global ecosystems. Our programs will inspire a lifelong commitment to protecting the planet.
  • Seasonal Events: From pumpkin patches to Junior Zookeeper Nights, Goat Yoga, and Animal-Themed Paint-and-Sip Nights, there’s always something fun and exciting to do.
  • Childcare & Camps: We offer weekly after-school care, daycare, and seasonal camps (winter, spring, fall, and summer), providing hands-on learning with animals, crafts, and nature.
  • Private Events: Host your birthday parties, weddings, school field trips, or even let us bring the rescue to you for a day filled with family-friendly fun and animal encounters.
  • A Sense of Community: In a rural town where opportunities for connection are limited, we’re creating a space where families can gather, learn, and thrive.

Why We Need Your Help

Getting licensed as a business in Pahrump and obtaining our 501(c)(3) nonprofit status will allow us to expand our offerings, host more events, and rescue even more animals. But we can’t do it alone. We’re asking for your support to help cover licensing fees, nonprofit filing costs, and the resources needed to bring our vision to life.

Why This Matters

As domestic abuse survivors, we’ve both experienced what it’s like to feel unsafe and unsupported. That’s why we’re committed to creating a space where families and children feel secure, valued, and inspired. We also aim to be positive role models in a rural community, demonstrating the value of healthy boundaries, acceptance, and the strength of non-traditional relationships.

Additionally, teaching children about animals and conservation initiatives fosters a deeper understanding of the natural world and the role they play in protecting it. Through hands-on interactions, education, and activities, we hope to inspire future generations to become stewards of our planet.

By supporting Ryder’s Rescue Ranch & Children’s Discovery Center, you’re not just helping us create a business—you’re helping us build a community hub where families can come together, connect with animals, and learn the values of compassion, responsibility, and conservation.

How You Can Help

  1. Donate: Any contribution, big or small, helps us get closer to our goal.
  2. Spread the Word: Share our vision with friends, family, and local businesses.
  3. Volunteer: Once we’re up and running, we’ll need hands-on support for events, animal care, and educational programs.

Together, we can make Ryder’s Rescue Ranch & Children’s Discovery Center a reality—and transform Pahrump into a town where families thrive and conservation flourishes.

Thank you for believing in our mission and for being part of our journey.

With gratitude,
Chelsea & Jennifer
