Project Description

Hope’s Kitchen Eateries has directly influenced multiple communities across New York State to become more aware of systemic health disparities that negatively impact BIPOC communities in the areas of nutrition and food accessibility. While we cannot change the system, we can work within it to create sources of healthy, attractive, delicious food (with a few guilty pleasures as well). No one should be forced to either go hungry or eat foods that will inevitably create long term health complications. This is why HKE is raising funds to plant a food truck (offering culturally diverse, healthy, affordable food options) in the Central Harlem area of Harlem, NY. A donation of $1-$5 can make a huge difference in the supplementing the in-house funding of this brave project within HKE’s vision for a more nutritionally equal and balanced society. Please consider making a donation towards the health and wellness of the children, families, and young adults in the underserved parts of our world.

Where will the money go?

- All of the funds will be used towards purchasing the food truck, funding a suitable operating staff, securing the proper licenses, and other costs that come with opening a lower-cost “brick and mortar” location to effectively orchestrate the mission of this cause.
