Feelin' Groovy Tours' mission is to delight our guests beyond their expectations and enlighten their journey every step of the way, in a hip, relaxed style. Our tours are well researched and focus on the historical, quirky, meaningful past and prosperous present of Boise, including the hard scrabble pioneers, local heroes and nefarious persons who settled the area, as well as innovators who helped "The City of Trees" become one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S.
Feelin' Groovy Tours is seeking funding due to complete loss of 2 years' of touring income in 2020 and 2021 from the pandemic, unexpected life challenges and having to relocate from the resort town of Sandpoint, Idaho to beautiful Boise - ranked number 5 on Inc. Magazine's list of best American hubs to start a business. Boise is a perfect blend of urban and rural amenities and Feelin' Groovy Tours aims to share it with our adventurous guests!
With regularly scheduled tours and private charters there's something for everyone!Feelin' Groovy Tours makes it easy to plan a winsome adventure of discovery for yourself, family and friends, clients and team building without being tasked to plan, research, schedule and coordinate an activity. Additionally, many of the Treasure Valley's newcomers are from larger, metropolitan areas including Seattle, the Bay Area and southern California, who desire a more relaxed way of life yet don't want to give up the unique social and cultural activities of a larger city. Our timing in launching such a highly unique tour operation couldn't be more perfect!
Our market is Boise, Idaho, and the Treasure Valley, with a total population base of over 750,000. We appeal to a diverse audience with guests from 5 years old to 82 years young so far. Our "edge?" No other tour operation like Feelin' Groovy Tours exists in Idaho!
Feelin' Groovy Tours is all about the joy of discovery and disguising learning as fun! As a Certified International Tour Manager and Certified Interpretive Guide with 5-star reviews under our belt, our passion is curating tours that leave guests with "A-ha!" moments and great memories - all with the simple click of a button!
Earning our street cred for you!Funding from investors will first go to pay for insurance and liability (ready to be signed) followed by City of Boise fees, order new apparel with our signature, vintage branding; redesign marketing materials to replace "Sandpoint" with "Boise" (already in process); new graphics for the bus (already installed), redesign our website (50% complete), operating costs, storage costs, vehicle servicing, certification renewal, continuing education with national tourism and tour guiding associations and more, through the 2022 touring season. Also, our goal is to acquire a second and larger vehicle in the next 2 years to accommodate larger groups. Many of your questions can be answered on our FAQ tab above.
Included in the many expenses listed above, your investment will help us print "Boise" on our new
merchandise and marketing materials. Our team is comprised of myself, as Owner/Operator and Driver/Guide, and my daughter, Claire, who is a Multi Media student at Boise State University. I collaborate with highly talented and creative individuals, all who have become close friends, including historian Mark Iverson, M.A. in History, who is pursuing a Phd in history and co-founder of Idahistory. Mark and I are curating a very special walking/driving tour here in Boise for our guests.
Also on our team is Luke Kennedy, highly creative owner, producer, and multi-faceted director of Borah Media ([email protected]), who skillfully and thoughtfully produced our fun campaign video above; award winning fine art and graphic artist extraordinaire Lucy West of Lucy West Studios, who embodies our vibe and designed our branding and printed materials; and award winning FAA mechanic and restoration specialist, Chuck Luettgerodt, owner of Inland Aviation Specialties, who orchestrated Georgie Girl's final restoration.
A new working relationship has also been formed with Boise State University history professor Erik Hadley, Ph.D., Early Modern France and a sub-field in the Atlantic World, who was the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship. Erik assists us with presenting the Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial with insight and grace. As you can see, Feelin' Groovy Tours is serious about having fun!
