Project Description

  1. What is the mission of your project?

Our mission will be to help individuals, small businesses and not-for-profit organizations preparing their tax returns.

We will also provide accounting and auditing services for small businesses such as:

  • supporting small business owner implementing strong internal control to minimize occupational fraud schemes etc.
  • helping small businesses determining financial performance and growth.
  • helping individuals and small businesses saving on tax liabilities
  • helping individuals and small businesses finding the best tax credits and deductions, and the maximum refunds.
  1. Describe the problem you are solving

Small businesses contribute to local economies and help stimulate economic growth by providing employment opportunities to people who may not be employable by larger corporations. At Consul Tax, starting our operation with the upcoming tax season 2022 is crucial for us to giving service to the public without exception.

The problem we want to solve come from our experience, and it is to facilitate integration of minorities in contributing to the local economy and create a pathway for diversity.

  1. What is the market opportunity?

The financial market is highly competitive. Therefore, we   willing to provide our service to support diversity. We will be able to assist clients in four languages: English, Creole, French, and Spanish. Clients will be welcome to have tax, accounting, and auditing services from us, in one of the cited languages they are more comfortable with.  We will also offer virtual and in-person appointments to facilitate our clients’ busy schedules. We will focus on carving out a diverse market that would target the needs of our clients and accommodate their businesses and personal activities.

Why are you seeking funding and how will you spend the funding?

The 2022 tax season is approaching. We want to seize the opportunity to make our grand opening with this tax season. We want to locate our office in Pensacola, Florida where the diverse demographic will be more favorable for our business.

We are seeking funds to cover some start up and administrative costs, such as: pay rent for our location, purchase computers, materials and supplies, and to help us build our website to give clients access either to our services, virtually or in person.

We already have our business license. We are eligible to participate in the 2022 filing season with the Internal Revenue Service. Our next step is to have our business set up and running for the upcoming tax season.
