Help bring sport fans together

Spoarts exists to give real sports fans a platform where their voices matter. Our mission is to create an interactive space where fans can engage, debate, and share unfiltered takes on sports without being drowned out by algorithms, trolls, or biased media. Traditional sports platforms (like Twitter/X or Instagram) aren’t built specifically for sports fans. Real-time commentary gets buried, content is driven by influencers or networks, and fan voices often go unheard. Sports lovers don’t have a dedicated space to express raw opinions, connect by league or team, and build community without noise. The global sports market is valued at over $500 billion, and the digital sports media sector is rapidly growing. In the U.S. alone, over 180 million people identify as sports fans. There is a huge opportunity to capture even a fraction of this audience by offering a niche, fan-first platform that prioritizes authentic engagement. Spoarts is a social media platform designed exclusively for sports fans. App users can share takes by sport, team, or trending event, Join “Locker Rooms” (fan communities), React to clips, polls, or breaking news in real-time, Filter content by league (NBA, WNBA, NFL, college sports, etc.) Not to mention users can post learning clips to where younger athletes can learn and grow by watching these clips. Athletes, fans, commentators, sport reporters can connect by using our app. By narrowing the focus to sports, we cut out distractions and center the platform around real conversations, real rivalries, and real fandom. We are seeking funding to develop the mobile app (UI/UX, coding, beta testing), Cover legal, hosting, and startup administrative cost, Launch targeted marketing to build our first user base, Create original content and hire part-time moderators for community management. Initial funds will help bring Spoarts from a concept to a launch-ready MVP (minimum viable product) with a strategy to scale quickly. At the moment my only team is me, Niya Braxton — sports administration student, entrepreneur, and lifelong fan with a deep understanding of sports culture and social media trends.
