What is the mission of your company or project?

Launching Healthcare Staffing Plus - a US based national per diem, travel, local contract, permanent direct hire, and locum tenens healthcare staffing agency.

  • With close to 24 years of non-clinical healthcare experience that includes 16 years of solid medical staffing and recruiting experience, we deliver on our promise of adhering to strict and ethical recruiting standards handled with the utmost professionalism.
  • Never resting on our laurels of sourcing candidates thoroughly and presenting our clients only the cream of the crop.

My story begins as a woman who understands the importance of exceptional healthcare first hand. As a Solo Independent Healthcare Recruiter, I have dedicated my professional life to ensuring patients receive the best care possible. My passion for this work was not only driven by my professional commitment but by a deeply personal experience.

My mother had always said, "if you don't have your health, you don't have anything!"

These words echoed in my mind as I found my mother unresponsive, suffering from a stroke and heart attack. My mother suffered from numerous medical issues for many years including atrial fibrillation which had been stable for five years but then suddenly spiraled in the late spring and summer of 2022.

She died in that September. In and out of the hospital six times that entire late spring and summer. I took care of her for many years as she had multiple medical issues and got back into healthcare staffing and recruiting in the summer of 2022 all for her as it allowed me the freedom and flexibility to care for her (doctor appts, errands, caring for her at home, etc.,) having my own business, rather than working for an employer.

After everything happened and being 52 years old at the time, I contemplated on sticking this out or doing something else. Took the remainder of 2022 and 2023 to figure it out as it was a very emotional depressing time for me too. The job market isn't kind to you if you are older!! I had everything up and running ready to go with Healthcare Staffing Plus, then everything happened. So needless to say, I feel that this is where God wants me to be and I am doing it in honor of my mother.


Doing all of this, while also ensuring that I was hiring the best candidates so that patients received high-quality care from the best of the best in the healthcare field.

  • I meticulously source candidates using healthcare niche job boards, state medical associations, professional medical organizations, referrals and more.
  • Every candidate is thoroughly screened and credentialed to ensure they are the cream of the crop.
  • Needle in the haystack.
  • No skeletons in the closet.

Through dedication and perseverance, this independent healthcare recruiter turned a personal tragedy into an opportunity to improve healthcare for countless others. My compelling story demonstrates how Healthcare Staffing Plus is committed to solving important problems and changing lives by providing seamless transparent healthcare staffing and recruiting strategies.

Currently, I have 14 staffing partners , that I brought on board myself, who have over 2,000 clinical professional jobs. In addition too that, that includes one staffing partner that serves over 7,000 skilled nursing facilities and another that serves both VA and military based hospitals across the entire US. Everything is setup and in place. Just need the funding to take Healthcare Staffing Plus to the next level.

My Employer of Record handles all of my back office including timesheets, invoicing, payroll, general and professional liability, workers compensation, general onboarding (I-9's and state and federal tax forms) and contract employee benefits. Credentialing onboarding is outsourced.

 

Why are you seeking funding and how will you spend the funding?

  • Job posting automation: We would invest in automation tools to streamline the process of posting healthcare jobs from our staffing partners directly into our applicant tracking system.
  • Costs for posting healthcare niche jobs: Funds would cover the expenses associated with posting job listings on specialized job boards to attract highly skilled healthcare professionals.
  • Background checks and drug screens per candidate: Money would support the costs of conducting thorough background checks and drug screens for each candidate we consider for placement.
  • Applicant tracking monthly fees: We would allocate funds to cover the monthly fees of an efficient applicant tracking system to streamline the recruitment process.
  • Possible mobile staffing app: Depending on the grant amount received, we would explore the development of a mobile staffing app for healthcare professionals.
  • Email campaigns, SMS, and follow-up to prospective candidates: Funds would support targeted email campaigns, SMS messaging, and personalized follow-up to connect with a wider talent pool.
  • Government clinical jobs - Done via third party that is awarded contracts then sourced to us.
  • Additional expenses: We would allocate a portion of the crowdfunding money to cover any unforeseen or additional expenses during the implementation of our strategic initiatives.

By investing the crowdfunding money wisely, we can improve our recruitment process, expand our reach, and provide better service to our clients and candidates.
