"Happy Teacher Revolution" Book Tour

Happy Teacher Revolution is a Baltimore-born, international movement with the mission to support the mental health and well-being of educators. We believe teachers deserve the time and space to feel, deal, and be real about the social-emotional demands of the job. 

Teacher stress isn't a new problem, but research suggests it's getting increasingly worse for the current generation of educators. A 2017 survey by the American Federation of Teachers reported a sharp jump in self-reported teacher stress from just two years earlier. At Happy Teacher Revolution group meetings, teachers come together to share the challenges they're facing and wellness strategies that have worked for them, and to receive training on social-emotional and trauma-informed practices for educators. The thesis is simple: Happier, healthier teachers make for happier, healthier students.

We are a professional development organization offering support through both online and in-person professional development programming. We offer training that gives educators the tools to learn to lead Happy Teacher Revolution meetings in their school and communities. We call these certified facilitators “Revolutionaries”.

Happy Teacher Revolution helps educators address burnout and jumpstart their own practices to claim joy.
