Project Description
Growl & Grace is a grass roots clothing company based of out NE. This idea was truly and organic culmination of my daily balancing act as a the ONLY African American Female full-time employee in a predominately White, CIS Male run industry. Maintaining approachability, strength, and poise- yet taking no s**t.
The idea of our products is to bring our customers back to their center by acknowledging the spirit guides of the half Leopard, half Panther that is our dominate design feature. Both big cats embody such different aspects in terms of spiritual meanings, but are completely alike in some of the physicality. We hope to mirror our branding ideals by creating an inclusive, unbiased and BEAUTIFUL clothing line that idealizes the unity in our human race, while celebrating the uniqueness of our individual "spots."
The funds raised by this campaign will be used to help with start up costs. Includes, but is not limited to website hosting and maintenance fees, hardware and software costs for online and in person purchases, stocking inventory for quick turn around on orders, costs for accounting and legal fees, marketing, scaling and branding costs and custom packaging supplies. The goal is to make this launch as successful and seamless as possible, and to really incorporate the spirituality that I was focused on when I created this brand .
Right now, this is a one (wo)man band. I will be processing all orders, packaging with my amazingly branded materials and making ALL of the trips to the post office to get my customers' orders shipped in a timely manner.
