Grow With Us: The ThriveCulture Campaign
Join the Movement for Neuroinclusive Work

Project Description
My journey to starting ThriveCulture Co. LLC is deeply personal. After years of struggling with undiagnosed combined attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), I finally received a diagnosis last year at the age of 52. I’ve spent many hours researching ADHD and other neurodiverse conditions since being diagnosed with ADHD and have had many “a ha!” moments, which ignited my passion to use my gifts and talents to advocate for others struggling in the workforce as well as educate employers about the value of embracing all types of diversity within their businesses. As a mom, a professional, and someone who has struggled with neurodivergence, I know personally how important it is to create work environments that allow people not only to contribute but to thrive.
My goal is to help organizations develop and implement compliant, yet compassionate policies that not only meet legal requirements but also create an environment where all employees can thrive, no matter their neurodiversity or other unique challenges. I understand firsthand how difficult it can be to succeed when the system is not built with you in mind. Whether it is single parents trying to further their education, individuals with undiagnosed neurodivergence, or those who have been marginalized due to their socioeconomic background, I want to use my journey to empower and uplift others.
With close to 20 years of experience in the human resources (HR) arena, a SHRM-CP certification from the Society for Human Resource Management, an associate’s degree in legal office management, a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an HR management emphasis, and my own experience with neurodiversity, I feel I am well-positioned to advocate for these issues.
Small businesses want to do the right thing, support their employees, stay compliant, and foster positive workplace cultures. Still, they often lack the time, knowledge, or resources to achieve these goals.
Most small business owners aren’t HR experts. They’re juggling countless responsibilities and frequently end up relying on outdated policies, generic templates, or inconsistent advice. This can lead to costly compliance violations, low employee morale, and an inability to attract or retain diverse, talented individuals, especially those who are neurodivergent or don't fit into a traditional workplace mold.
In particular, the needs of neurodivergent employees and others who feel misunderstood, overlooked, or mistreated in traditional work environments are often neglected, not out of malice, but out of unawareness. There is a gap in compassionate compliance - a way to meet legal standards and create cultures where people can truly thrive.
Opportunities:
There is a growing demand for inclusive, people-first policies, especially in the wake of increased awareness around neurodiversity and mental health.
Legal requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and guidance from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) continue to drive a need for compliance-focused training, an area that aligns with my existing expertise.
Small businesses often struggle to stay compliant due to limited resources; ThriveCulture Co. will offer them practical, affordable solutions.
With my lived experience, SHRM-CP credential, and bachelor’s degree in human resource management, I’m uniquely positioned to blend expertise with empathy.
Conferences like SHRM Inclusion 2025 offer an incredible chance to learn from and connect with leaders in the HR and DEI space, which will further enhance the services I provide.
I have the opportunity to become a trusted voice and advocate for fairness, especially for individuals who feel alienated by traditional systems.
Challenges:
As a new solo entrepreneur, I’m managing all aspects of the business on my own, which limits how quickly I can scale without outside funding.
Building brand awareness and credibility from scratch requires time and investment in marketing and outreach efforts.
While I have strong experience and a clear vision, I need financial support to help fund the foundational aspects of my business and pursue continuing education, conferences, and certifications that will elevate the quality and reach of my services.
ThriveCulture Co. aims to empower small businesses through compliant and compassionate HR solutions, focusing on educating employers about neurodiversity in the workplace. Funding will support conference participation, continuing education, the development of an accessible website, and subscriptions to HR and related platforms, thereby enhancing our impact and credibility while expanding the tools that help employers create inclusive, legally sound workplaces.
Conference Attendance - registrations, travel, lodging, and materials for relevant HR/compliance or DEI-focused conferences to increase visibility, network, and stay informed on best practices.
HR/Related Subscriptions - subscription to compliance and HR knowledge platforms that provide expert-developed resources, tools, and legal updates to help HR professionals navigate employment law, manage risk, and implement best practices.
Continuing Education/Certifications - to support ongoing professional development, such as SHRM trainings or neurodiversity certifications, to ensure expertise remains current and competitive.
HR Resource Website Development - to fund content development, and initial tool integration for a user-friendly, accessible site offering compliance guides and toolkits for small businesses.
Marketing/Outreach Materials - branded shareable graphics, social media promotion, and informational downloads to boost engagement and backer participation during and beyond my crowdfunding campaign.

The Campaign FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions:
What is ThriveCulture Co.?
ThriveCulture Co. is a compliance and HR consulting business rooted in respect, inclusion, and neurodiversity advocacy. We help small businesses build legally sound, human-centered policies that support all employees—especially those who are neurodivergent, disabled, or otherwise marginalized.
How will the funds be used?
Funds from this campaign will go toward:
- Building a professional and accessible website
- Joining key business and HR networks (SHRM, Chamber of Commerce)
- Creating downloadable resources like policy templates and toolkits
- Launching our podcast, The Inclusive Culture Code
- Expanding outreach to businesses that need help developing neuroinclusive practices
Why focus on neurodiversity?
Neurodivergent individuals—those with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and more—often face barriers in traditional work environments. As someone diagnosed with combined ADHD later in life, I know firsthand how misunderstood and unsupported neurodivergent people can feel. We’re here to change that, one policy and workplace at a time.
Why are you asking for help?
Asking for help is incredibly hard—especially when shame and years of being misunderstood have made it difficult to even articulate what support is needed. But this work matters. And with your help, we can build systems of support that don’t leave anyone behind.
What do I get if I contribute?
We’ve created meaningful, mission-aligned rewards—like digital guides, merchandise, early podcast access, and even policy consulting for businesses. Each reward tier gives you something special while helping us grow our impact.
When will I receive my reward?
Digital rewards will be delivered within 30 days after the campaign closes. Physical items (like stickers or mugs) will be shipped within 6–8 weeks. You'll receive updates and tracking as soon as they’re on the way.
Can I support you without choosing a reward?
Absolutely! There’s a "Just Because" tier for those who want to give any amount without a reward. Every dollar helps—and every show of support means the world.
What is The Inclusive Culture Code podcast?
It’s our upcoming podcast exploring how compliance, workplace culture, and inclusion intersect—especially for neurodivergent and marginalized employees. We’ll feature expert interviews, real stories, and actionable tools for more inclusive leadership.
Can businesses or sponsors support you too?
Yes! We offer sponsor packages starting at $500, which include consulting, public recognition, and the opportunity to fund inclusion audits for small businesses in need. Reach out for custom partnership options.
