About Glubbs
History
Latex has historically been used in the personal protective industry as a way to create a physical barrier between hands and harmful materials, germs and viruses. Latex however was found to cause allergies which resulted in an industrial shift from latex gloves to nitrile gloves.
The Science
Nitrile is a synthetic rubber. It is hypoallergenic, more sustainable to produce as well as more chemical and puncture resistant than latex. While nitrile is superior to latex in many way, nitrile is essentially plastic - which means it takes between 100-300 years to break down in biologically active landfills.
Why Glubbs are Special
We are working with the World's Largest glove manufacturer to bring the latest in eco-friendly nitrile glove manufacturing to our customers. Glubbs are nitrile which means they come with all the benefits of nitrile, but they also leverage proprietary technology developed by our manufacturer, to speed up the biodegradation of the glove by up to 10 times.
