  Hello! I'm Guinivere, a 20-year-old black female LGBTQ+ entrepreneur!

  I started my business Gemini by Guy in October of 2020 with a vision for diversity when it came to the world of fashion. I grew up never seeing myself in the world of fashion and imagined others felt the same. So I began Gemini by Guy, the place where everyone can find themselves with ease regardless of their backgrounds, races, nationalities, genders, sexualities and etc. because everyone deserves to find themselves with ease.

  Diversity

  I always ensure to carry as much diversity in my store as I can. I do this by always doing the following:

• Carrying as many sizes as I can. 

Note: I am also actively working to include even more sizes in my store. 

I have both Petite and Plus Size options available that go from XXS to 6XL in both Women's and Menswear:

I also have sizes for children going from babies to toddlers to children's sizes:

I have options regarding Women's Clothing, Menswear, Children's Clothing which includes Baby Clothing and Toddler Clothing together, and also funnily enough some Pet Items as well and all of this is for anyone to choose from any place of Gemini by Guy to shop regardless of their gender or their background. I also have options regarding the immense amount of collections I have so anyone can find their style with ease:

• Carrying as many diverse individuals as models/ambassadors/influencers that I can on my website and maintaining this as a top priority.

All clothing in all departments of Gemini by Guy showcases diverse models and influencers/ambassadors whether it be their diverse genders, races, ethnicities, and overall backgrounds. This brings me to the next upcoming topics...Ambassadors & Influencers.

Ambassadors

As part of my mission with Gemini by Guy for diversity in the world of fashion as a whole, I utilize ambassadors of different genders, races, ethnicities, and overall backgrounds.

The ambassadors for Gemini by Guy feature a person who goes by he/him from Italy; a person who goes by they/it from the USA; a person who goes by they/them from Australia; a person who goes by they/them from France; and a person who goes by she/her from the USA. 

The ambassadors with their different pronouns, backgrounds, and overall identities showcase Gemini by Guy's wide diversity and symbolize the varietal nature of the brand as a whole.  

Note: With the funding, I would be able to feature more ambassadors/influencers of different genders, races, ethnicities, and overall backgrounds. This is a very big part of my excitement for this project as I will be able to feature even more diversity so people can find themselves with better ease at my store.

Influencers for Gemini by Guy are carefully chosen so as to ensure a type of inclusiveness and appropriateness for the brand. Influencers also must carry a form of individuality and/or uniqueness to them in order to be chosen and showcased at Gemini by Guy. All influencers that have been selected for Gemini by Guy fit the above criterion and then some and showcase Gemini by Guy.

• What is the mission of your company or project?

The mission is to bring diversity to the world of fashion as a whole.

• Describe the problem you are solving. 

The world of fashion is lacking deeply in diversity in terms of different genders, races, backgrounds, and sizes for all people.

• What is the market size/opportunity?

It is as sizable as anything can be. The market size is endless due to a large amount of diversity to be shown therefore ending in customers being able to see themselves better in the clothing/accessory/etc.  Most obviously the fashion industry is a massive and ever-growing industry that has continuous relevancy and prevalence.

• What is your company/product about and how does it solve the problem?                

My business Gemini by Guy is all about diversity and bringing that to light. It solves this problem by having diverse ambassadors, influencers, and models from all backgrounds, races, nationalities, genders, sexualities and etc. so that others can find themselves with ease when in search of items at my store. It also solves the problem by having a wide range of styles and sizes at my store as well.

• Why are you seeking funding and how will you spend the funding?

This funding is for marketing mainly but also in tandem with relief for COVID-19 and the current state of the economy which have also both made it difficult for my business to grow. This funding will aid the expansion and growth of Gemini by Guy by helping it to reach its potential; and with the funding which I am using for marketing, I'll be able to also succeed in my mission of bringing more people to see themselves through very diverse influencer marketing as well as the traffic being lead to my website showcasing the diversity for the average person to hopefully see themselves for the first time in.
