Project Description
Our goal at Steadfast International is to make it easy for students to learn about the field of Veterinary Medicine without having to leave their home or school. Pre-Veterinary students received online mentoring and career prep from licensed veterinarians using Telemedicine!
With our Ride-Along Program, students 6th grade through college can join a licensed Veterinarian online as they work with a LIVE patient and client. The student will be able to participate in the discussion, diagnosis, and follow-up with the pet parent.
Our aim is to introduce students to the real world of VetMed and teach the soft skills, compassion, and direct client interactions that will make them super successful in the Veterinary field.
Most Veterinary mentoring programs focus on direct animal contact, which students love, but the soft skills are minimized.
To be a successful Veterinarian, you must have great people skills, and most Pre-Vet mentoring programs do not focus on the different client interactions that happen daily.
Veterinarians love to share knowledge by mentoring, but often do not have free time to devote to a mentee.
It is a common myth that spoken communication with people is not required for the veterinary profession.

The Future Vet team here at Steadfast International is very rich and diverse. Our Teaching hospital, Dr. Croom Mobile Veterinary Service currently employs three full time and one part -time team member, who fill the roles of Veterinarian, Veterinary Technician, CFO, and Marketing Strategist.
Steadfast International LLC prides itself on hiring a mix of backgrounds with military Veterans, African-American, Indian-American, Caucasian-American teammates, as well as LGBTQ+ hires. We are confident in the compassionate care we provide pet owners, and the Veterinary Educational experiences we create for our Future Veterinarians!
