Our Story

We are Kate and Kerbi.  As passionate gardeners and plant enthusiasts, we carefully select only the best quality and most beautiful products. We carry an affordable selection that will meet our customers needs at home, in the office, or at events.

 With humble beginnings we spent last spring, summer, and fall driving our custom teardrop trailer around town, creating pop-up plant shops in front of coffee shops, bars, and boutiques. Being so well received in Nashville’s vibrant small business community we felt it was time to open our own brick and mortar shop. With this expansion, we’ll begin to provide a variety of other products, including botanical art and books, beautiful plant misters and watering cans, and a plant-based skin care line.

Pop-ups

Starting out as a pop-up gave us the opportunity to experiment with our product and dream big without much overhead. We happily discovered there is a market in Nashville for the products we sell as well as a very supportive small business community.

Next Steps

We can’t believe that we are in the process of moving into our own brick and mortar and we have a large community of support to thank. Flora’s brick and mortar will be a place that embraces the depth, creativity, and diversity of Nashville’s community. We will host workshops, meetings, intimate gatherings, small concerts, and pop-up shops. We’ll also be able to expand our other services including plant styling and rentals.

Crowdfunding

We’re participating in the iFundWomen crowdfunding because it’s really difficult being a new, small business and finding funding options. We’ve been self-funded up to this point but as we enter the second phase of our business, we need a financial boost to help us achieve our goals. In addition to our goods, we are very excited about the potential that our services have, specifically our plant rentals and styling consultations. We hope to focus on growing those parts of the business quite a bit this year and a new company vehicle is a huge piece of that puzzle. We are so grateful to everyone who supported us in some way for our first year of business and we would be honored if you would support us financially as we enter the next chapter.
