Project Description
Our mission:
Rocky Mountain French Bulldog Rescue is driven by the mission that “Every French Bulldog Deserves a Furever Home”. While we work with all French bulldogs in need of a home, our focus is on those with special medical needs. Currently, about 83% of French bulldogs brought in have severe medical or behavioral needs, and over 50% are paralyzed. RMFBR is the only rescue in the US attempting to take in, rehabilitate, fully vet, and rehome French bulldogs with
What we do:
We work with rescues and shelters around the country to save these special-needs dogs from euthanasia and directly with mills to rescue dogs that have aged out of their breeding programs. We give a voice to the voiceless by educating the community about responsible pet ownership and raising awareness about breed-specific health issues.
The problem we are solving:
- Rocky Mountain French Bulldog Rescue realizes the dire situation surrounding French Bulldogs' physical and behavioral health. That's why we rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome every Frenchie we can, ensuring they find loving homes.
- As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a facility but rather all of our dogs are fostered, for at least a month, in loving volunteer homes until rehabilitated. Each dog is loved as a family member until we find the best fit for their forever home.
Our Impact:
Since our founding in 2014, RMFBR has assisted in rescuing over 300 dogs.
Last year, we rescued 62 dogs but had to turn away 37 unfortunately. As a last-chance rescue, this was very difficult for us to do. We want to ensure that never happens again. Our Goals:
Rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome every Frenchie.
Educate the public about responsible ownership.

Why we are seeking funding:
On average, each dog costs $2,500 to rehabilitate and rehome. These high vet bills mean we need your support to reach our goals. Overpopulation and irresponsible breeding have led to these issues. We plan to spend the funding on vet bills and use the rest to create campaigns educating the public about this vulnerable breed.
Our Team:
Kelly Money, our executive director, works alongside two board members: Michelle, VP/Head Of Fundraising And Partnerships, and Jen Garrett, Board Treasurer.
Our team works tirelessly to achieve RMFBR’s goals alongside 300 volunteers.

The Campaign FAQs
FAQ
Is your organization a non-profit?
Yes, our organization is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit and our EIN is 47-2430608
Where does the funding go toward?
This funding will be used for our main objective at Rocky Mountain French Bulldog Rescue, which is to provide care to French Bulldogs with medical issues so they can be adopted into their forever homes. On average, each dog has medical expenses totaling $2,500.
What are your organization's goals:
Rocky Mountain French Bulldog Rescue's (RMFBR) mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome special needs French Bulldogs, advocate for responsible pet ownership, and promote compassion. We are dedicated to providing medical care to French Bulldogs in need, fostering loving relationships between dogs and their adoptive families, and cultivating a supportive community.
What is your implementation plan?
For ten years, we have been dedicated to rehabilitating and saving the lives of French Bulldogs. To achieve the rescue and rehabilitation we will:
(1) Remove our intake hold. Currently, due to financial and foster home constraints, we had to suspend the intake of owner-surrendered French Bulldogs with medical needs.
(2) We will continue accepting French Bulldogs from animal shelters. Even though we currently have a hold on taking owner-surrendered French Bulldogs, we will continue to accept French Bulldogs from animal shelters who are slated to be euthanized.
How do you measure your success?
To measure our impact we typically look at our stats regarding rescues and rehoming. In 2023, we rescued and rehabilitated 62 French Bulldogs. This year alone we had 41 successful adoptions. Further, in the past 10 years, we have rescued over 300 French Bulldogs. We also measure our reach on social media such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. We use these platforms to showcase our amazing dogs to help get them successfully adopted into the right, furever home. On Facebook, we have a strong community of 21K followers and on YouTube, we are steadily growing with 330 subscribers and counting.
We also measure our impact through heartfelt testimonials and success stories from adopters and supporters. These stories highlight the transformative work we do and the lives we impact.
Do you partner with any organizations?
Alongside our partnership with local universities through our internship program, we also collaborate with local shelters and animal welfare organizations such as Denver Animal Shelter and Dumb Friends League. Our organization also partners with area veterinary clinics that provide care at reduced rates for the French Bulldogs we rescue such as Vista Animal Hospital. We are expanding our network of vet clinics to continue providing quality, low-cost care to our rescued French Bulldogs
