Equipt is a new company striving to improve the world of bedside healthcare.
We are one of the first healthcare companies to concentrate on bedridden individuals and their caretakers.
WHO ARE WE?
As of 2015, there are nearly 4.5 million people who require at-home healthcare. An astonishing 97.2% of these at-home patients cannot bathe without assistance, making bathing their most prevalent struggle.* Despite this, hardly any companies exist that focus on making at home healthcare accessible to everyone.
Equipt's goal is to even the playing field in a world where affordable and easy healthcare seems so out of reach by bringing quality healthcare equipment straight to your doorstep. Our first product is the Bedside Sink. This inspired hybrid of a sink and bedside table will tackle the difficulties of bathing, shampooing, brushing teeth, and much more. Designed by our resident CEO and healthcare professional, Chardonnay, the Bedside Sink eliminates the problem of providing hygienic bathroom needs to people who struggle to leave their bed.
There are 61 million people in the U.S. living with a disability. This product is designed for professional caregivers and family members, spouses, children, and even grandchildren that have all been known to take on the caregiver role. We, at Equipt, believe that all of these people and those they are caring for deserve to have their basic needs managed quickly and efficiently, freeing up time for personal connection.
THE FOUNDER
My name is Chardonnay Gunn, and I have been working in the healthcare field for 13 years. I've spent most of my years working in the home health setting as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) and I became a business owner by developing the Equipt Bedside Sink. I knows firsthand the struggles of providing at-home care and I crafted the idea of the Bedside Sink with all of my most often experienced hurdles in mind.
THE GOAL
Equipt is raising $50k on IFundWomen to cover the costs of bringing the Bedside Sink to the market. This includes manufacturing, distribution, commercial insurance, administrative overhead, customer service support and marketing.
Join us in bringing incredible and easy care to those who need it most.
