Equestrian technical sports garments

Hello everyone. A tailor of bespoke Riding Jackets and Tailcoats I was often asked to improve the pant which is called a breech or jodphur.  Every equestrian about the globe must wear the bright white competition pant for the disciplines of Showjumping, eventing and dressage.  

I developed fabrics for an improved technical garment. The fabric stretch and greater recoil informed my  patternmaking. The garment is worn on stretch, without feeling tight.  Smooths and contours helping you to look better in tight white pants. My fabric is opaque.  Just pulling them on the differences are notable.

-inner face feels soft like brushed cotton

-outer surface can be wiped clean of wet mud, without seeing a wet mark, great for two day events.

-garment does not become baggy at the knee and hip with wear.

-seat panel has silicone for grip in saddle. An improved application method enables the silicon to last longer and not wear off like others.  It is pressed into the fabric and feels flat, it also stretches with the fabric  with movement.  The market leaders of breeches still require the addition of a tighter elastic fabric at the end of the pant to hold them in place.  My three dimensional patternmaking does not need this. I have an Australian patent for an improved construction method 

Apart from these attributes desired by the equestrian, the main problem was finding a pair to fit coupled with style preferences, unique to an individual, who values how they look in competition an important element to their score.

I offer my technical sports garment as Tall, Regular and Short leg. An obvious consideration in a garment that has a knee placement.  High waist or regular waist versions too. The silicone color can be a choice of white, grey or black. For the men I make available two styles, a slim fit and a more muscular stocky style with front pleats.  I am the first in this space to offer this customization DTC as ready to wear. I have accessory garments like competition shirts and polos also available for Tall bodies with arms seven cms longer than the average. I could introduce custom jackets with apps like Sizer and Body Scan machines in use across Australia and USA. 

The market is global and progressive. Most who enter the sport remain competitive for their lifetime. Starting at the age of two usually. They can compete as long as they are able. And they always want new quality garments.  When not wearing white, the same garment is worn every other day in traditional, black, navy greys and other muted colors. Red is  liked too.. I am developing a pale metallic gold worn in competition by the Show Horse Rider. And Beige for the Hunter Classes.

Ador Equestrian delivers premium garments in a better fit with style choices not yet seen in this space. 

The investment would enable me to order fabrics from the mill in Italy. They have upped their minimums for buying the white. To create fashion colours and differentiate my offering, the minimums also sit around 300 metres. I have found the right manufacturer but need to purchase one finishing machine which they do not have.  I would hope to get a jump on and have stock at hand and then manage production on demand and limit waste.
