Project Description

Our mission is to lend a hand-up and not just a hand-out to 1000 black and women-owned small businesses in underserved and underrepresented communities that lack entrepreneurs who create jobs, reduce unemployment, poverty, incarceration, and recidivism due to systemic barriers that prevent access to traditional small business funding for black and women-owned small businesses!

Our goal is to provide our services to 1000 black and woman-owned start-ups and small businesses from underserved and disadvantaged communities by creating crowdfunding platforms, then to teach businesses how to fundraise for themselves through their newly created crowdfunding platform, while positioning themselves for future traditional funding, if and when needed.

The problem we are solving is to introduce access to start-up and working capital through unfamiliar and non-traditional crowdfunding platforms to black and women-owned small businesses to help them start, grow  and expand their businesses when traditional funding is not an option due to systemic barriers.

According to data released by the Federal Reserve in 2020, the percentage of white business owners that receive at least a percentage of the funding they requested from a bank is 80.2%. In contrast, only 60.9% of Black business owners say the same, along with 69.5% for Hispanic business owners and 77.1% for Asian business owners.

As a black and woman-owned small business, social enterprise and wholesale supplier our products are currently sold locally and B2B to major retailers. As a wholesale supplier, we are amongst a very small segment of black and woman-owned companies to crossover from consumer to supplier giving us a better opportunity to grow and sustain our business, along with giving us the hands-on experience to pay-it-forward by assisting other black and woman-owned small businesses to achieve the same.

Our experience with major retailers as a wholesale supplier of Natural Dried Herbs and Automatic Dishwasher Pods highlight the importance of having access to working capital in order to grow and sustain the business and being able to replenish the inventory necessary to keep your place on the shelves once your product has been accepted by a major retailer or other public industry.

Therefore, our products help solve the problem of limited access to traditional funding and growth by increasing black entrepreneurs, woman-owned businesses and wholesale suppliers to major retailers, creating jobs, reducing unemployment, poverty, homelessness from underserved and underrepresented community by assisting entrepreneurs with obtaining funding for the formation and growth of their business in order to create jobs in those same underserved and underrepresented communities.

We are seeking funding for working capital to upgrade our Website and Digital Marketing presence, and to give us the flexibility to provide our crowdfunding services to 1000 other small businesses to do the same. In addition, we would like to expand our growth by hiring, training and mentoring a full-time administrative assistant from the communities that we serve.

Our current team includes:

  • Valencia Passmore | CEO and founder
  • Aaron Bledsoe | President | IT
  • Isham Raiz | Website Designer
  • Hughes King | International Freight Forwarder
  • Megan Deng | Dishwasher Manufacturer
  • Sam Chou | Seasonings/Spices Manufacturer

With your donations, not only will you be supporting our company to sustain, grow and expand, you will be supporting a black and woman-owned company to pay-it-forward by duplicating our crowdfunding efforts for 1000 other black and woman-owned small businesses.

We are always looking for Sponsors or Partners for their ongoing support. So please feel free to complete our Contact Page and we will reach out to you as soon as we receive your inquiry.
