Project Description
Hi everyone! If you have found your way to this page, thank you so much. Over the past couple of years I have been writing and writing and writing. The songs I have in my catalog right now are the best songs I've written in my career, and I want to be able to share them all with you!
As most of you can imagine, the process of writing, recording, and producing a full album is both time consuming and costly. This process can take anywhere from 6 months to a couple of years. As an independant artist however, this process can take even longer! Being an independant artist has so many perks, however the biggest downfall is the lack of funding; as you are using your personal funds to create a project like this.
During the creation of this project, I will be hiring a whole team such as session musicians, producers, photographers, graphic designers etc. This will mostly likely consist of about 20 people total. That being said, when you contribute to this campaign, you are not just helping me, but in turn you are supporting a community of so many other musicians and artists! Independant art deserves to exist so it can continue to be created!
To me, creating this crowdfunding campaign is the perfect way to interact and connect with more of you, while still raising funds for my project. I am so excited about all of the rewards I am offering, as they are all super personal to me and my brand! I can't wait to see what peaks your interest, and to get the ball rolling on my very first album!

I want to purchase more than one reward. Can I do that?
Absolutely! You are able to select and add multiple rewards to your cart.
I just want to contribute, and not purchase a reward. What do I do?
The first reward listed is Monetary Option. Select this reward, type in the amount you'd like to contribute, and that amount will be added to fund.
I want a certain reward, but I'd like to contribute more than the reward price. What do I do?
Select the reward you would like to purchase, and then select the "Monetary Option" reward and fill in the additional amount you would like to contribute.
When will your album be released?
My hope is for the album to be released next year! I am currently in the stage of starting the recording process.
Why $10,000?
Making an album requires writing each of the songs, booking studio time, hiring a producer, engineer, musicians, and a mastering engineer. It also takes a lot of time to plan everything out. After several months of recording and producing the songs, more time and money go into marketing, promotion, distribution, photography, videography, merchandise, and more.
A minimum of $10,000 will help to cover almost half of the cost to make this album.

What is Virgos Room?
Alyssa (who just so happens to be my sister!) is an herbalist, artist, astrologer, and barista. Her background includes a B.A. in Holistic Psychology from Lesley University, as well as minors in Fine Art and Global Studies. Her studies in college led her to explore many pathways in the healing arts including expressive arts therapy, yoga, and natural products. While working at a local health food store, she became increasingly interested in herbalism and has been pursuing that path of knowledge for a few years now. At that store, she was a buyer of bulk herbs and bodycare products, and wrote for the blog there as well. In 2022, she took an herbal apprenticeship class at Muddy River Herbals herb farm led by Jenny Hauf and Steph Zabel. Recently, she has been focusing on honing her latte art skills, hosting astrology-themed tea parties, and rug tufting.
