Eco-village
I am building a nice, low footprint, affordable Eco-village. This community will become self-sustained and will help the housing crisis.
Project Description
Why a tiny community?
In today's world, the majority of society has a narrow definition of "The American dream". This means that a family of 4 would have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, and so on. My family is considered today to be very big as we are 6. For over 2 years, we have been living in about 300 sq. ft. Many pointed fingers as they thought we didn't have enough money, that our children were sad due to the lack of a million plastic toys and space, and trying to find a place to put our house was a pain. We were told over and over again; oh this is way too small for your family. The thing is we did not want 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, and a basement. We only wanted to have a 2 bedroom as a temporary place until our tiny house was fixed and until we found a suitable "legal" place for it. If you ask our children, and by all means please do, they will tell you how much they love the tiny living.
We have two mottos that we use a lot for people that question our way of living. One is "it's a lifestyle" which to us means it's not a chore, an obligation, nor a pain but our way of life. Might be different from others' perspectives, but it is a way of life. We use the outdoors a lot, we learn to communicate more and we are very close to each other... a lifestyle! The second one is "Tiny house, BIG life". This literally means what is said. A tiny house has less cost which means more money and time in our lives. It means that we have money left to enjoy our town and grow our local economy. We have money and time to do all our local festivals, spend in our local farmers market, spend on our local artists, go out to our local restaurant, enjoy local museums and travel to discover new places. Instead of giving all our money to a mortgage, hydro and house maintenance, we are giving it back to our community. Imagine a full community like this, where people have time and money to enjoy and invest in their life. This is what we want to accomplish with the help of all of you.
Our community will not judge anyone who wants to join, no matter if they are single, a couple or a big family like ours. We will have a communal section which will include an outdoor fire pit, kitchen, picnic area, community garden/compost, trails, playground, sports and so on. We will have different spaces and the layout is thought out so that singles and couples can enjoy a little more quiet while families can have the space they need outdoors.

The Campaign FAQs
We are part of the zero-waste movement and we make sure to use environmentally friendly materials. We reuse many of our own and our neighbour's packaging. We love to upcycle what we find and always look for a better option. We are not perfect, but we work very hard.
We plan to upcycle our material and keep the landscape to keep the relaxed feel in our community. We will look for the best way to keep our land's environment and reuse what we have on it. We will plant many trees and an edible landscape. We will use natural materials and teach our members how to lower their footprint.
We will have a full Eco-community with a low footprint. We will have organic gardens and will eventually become self-sustainable. The future is here!
The biggest risk we face is losing the land we have an eye on. Most of our rewards can and will still be delivered. Some dates might be affected, depending on the land availability, but we will be actively looking for another place. We are presently working on acquiring the land earlier. Our project will see the day!

Pamorina is derived from the Italian word panoramica, which means overview. Each month, we will have a Pamorina tea and coffee where we will discuss the overall views on different topics. From permaculture, seeding, gardening, zero waste, herbalism, alternative buildings, and other health topics. You will be able to choose the one you want to participate in and send some of your questions. Estimated delivery is the time you have to use your free ticket. You will receive a special ticket via email.
You will be able to choose one as soon as this fall, all the way to January 1st 2024.

Any amount helps us get there. We appreciate the help and want to show this appreciation. We will send you a thank you note digitally. Thank you for your support in any way you can.
To show our appreciation, we will make a handpainted card to say thank you. Paintings will reflect our community, our vision and the love we have for our Earth (floral, Earth, nature..). You may request for the card to remain blank inside if you wish to use it. You may also request your own message to be written in it.
We will give you a tour of our community, live. Come virtually and see what it looks like and the progress we made. Ask some questions and visit some of the tiny houses. This option is for online group tours. Dates will be determined when the project is in phase 3. You will get to choose between multiple dates and times to accommodate your schedule.
Our community will have different trails and paths to walk around our village. We will have trail signs with their name and a map so people know where each one of them will bring them. Commemorate someone special or something special by naming one of them "Paul's path". We will send you a picture of the sign with the name and a certificate. One of the best gift for that someone special!
Whether you want to commemorate a special someone or a special something, this is the unique way to do it. Our community will have a nice playground and sports field. You get to choose the name it will have. The name will be exposed on a nice sign. You will get a picture of it and a video of the "behind the scenes". Want to come and inaugurate the place? We will be able to arrange a special day for it. We will keep in touch for all the details.

In between those sessions, you will get tips for how to finance, how to plan, how to build your business plan and develop your ideas. I will give you spreadsheets to fill out and guide you on how to pitch your idea.
