Project Description
What if we could capture the invisible?
My name is Lucila López Abelenda, and I’m a UX/UI designer, photographer and audiovisual communicator from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I’ve been documenting the city for years — its people, silences, chaos, and contradictions — but now I want to take that exploration further.
LATENCY is a hybrid project that blends documentary photography and micro-films to tell untold stories of everyday life through a gender-conscious lens. It’s about how we move, occupy space, resist, and exist — especially in urban spaces that aren't always built for everyone.
I'm creating a photo essay and a short documentary series, each piece tied together by themes of visibility, public vs. private life, and gender expression in cities.
To bring this to life, I need to upgrade my gear (camera, microphone, gimbal, and editing laptop), and fund production costs like local travel and interviews. Every donation, no matter the size, helps me get closer to sharing these stories.
I’m doing this under my visual project: @mialbumsintitulo, and my dream is to take it to different cities and countries, expanding this visual dialogue.
I’ll be offering rewards like digital photo books, early access to the short films, behind-the-scenes updates, and future merch with selected images or phrases from the project.
