Dignity of Labor with Hirely

Born into a community filled with elitism, I have noticed how people around me treat helpers. "Study harder or you'll become a cleaner" has become a common phrase for teachers and parents alike. But why is it bad to be a cleaner? There is clearly a demand for it with an expected increase of 40% in the Home Service market at SEA. At Hirely, we redefine what a cool job means. We have freelancers ranging from degree graduates to housewives.  

Hirely is also a highly profitable venture. Hirely is a marketplace app for home services with freelancers from all backgrounds. At Hirely, we reduce customers’ time to find a repeatable service-person. Unlike our competitors who provide customers with randomised service-person, we allow our customers to choose and subscribe to their desired service person. This in turn provides service-person with regular customers.  In return we take a cut of 10% from service-person for every transaction.

We have soft launched our product in January this year with the help of my expertise in marketing. As of today we have 50+ freelancers and companies, total sales of $10,000 and a customer retention rate of 80%.  With the funding, I am looking to spend on marketing and product development to expand my business. As a young entrepreneur, I am eager to grow myself and my business and will do my best to make those who've trusted in me, proud.
