- Is the Date My Friend (DMF) app available to download?
Yes, you can download DMF for iOS or Android. So download and tell all your friends to download but please be patient with us as we grow our user base. One day when we have millions of users you can say you were one of the first. ;-) - Why are you raising money on IFW?
We self-funded app development and are raising money via IFW to fund our marketing efforts. We have an amazing app, now we just need everyone to know about us. - Why do you use ‘wingman’ and not ‘wingwoman’ or 'wingperson'?
We absolutely believe in gender equality and neutrality, but we needed to use a term people knew. Please know we use ‘wingman’ as a generic, non-gender specific term.
We like how Wikipedia® defines ‘Wingman':
Wingman is a role that a person may take when a friend needs support with approaching potential partners. In general, one person’s wingman will help them avoid attention from undesirable prospective partners or attract desirable ones, or both.

Ya, we know it's called Date My Friend, but sometimes you'd rather have someone outside of your crew helping you out. We will get to know you, your past dating history, what you're looking for in a partner and we'll be your wingman on DMF for 3 months.

First, we meet (in-person in the Bay Area or Skype), I get to know you, your dating history, and your ideal partner. We review your dating app profiles, photos, and wardrobe. We build out a 3-month plan that encompasses online and offline strategies. We chat via email, text, and phone. I’m there for ideas on how to reply when you match with someone new and how to chat with that cutie at the gym (btw, I met my husband at a spinning class). I’m there for pre-date pep talks and post-date analysis. I promise, this is gonna be fun! For those who are 'taken' this makes a phenomenal gift to that family member or friend who just needs a little help and guidance when it comes to dating.
