Together we are strongerWHY IFUNDWOMEN:
I discovered IFUNDWOMEN when speaking to my business coach, who advised me to explore resources that support female entrepreneurs. Upon my search, I came across IFUNDWOMEN and instantly discovered a friend of mine had used this resource to grow her business with an astonishing success rate. I was in the process of exploring traditional funding ventures and was confronted by a number of business professionals who wanted to invest but also wanted to alter the vision, size, and design of Collective615. I quickly realized our vision would be lost, if we didn't have investors who believed in our mission. After extensive research and speaking with other female business owners who utilized the resources and crowdfunding platform I knew I too wanted to be part of a business model that supported and believed in empowering women to raise their capital by becoming part of this community that teaches women the power of crowdfunding. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I didn't lose sight of my vision to provide women with a co-working space that fills the void in the co-working communities that are currently available.
FOUNDERS:
Kathy Thomas & Angela Proffitt
While searching for office space and a community that would inspire me and makes me feel welcome, I was constantly finding space that had astronomical rents, heavy male make-up and parking fees that weren't manageable for small businesses. After years of working in luxury retail opening stores on the east coast for over 15 years, I decided to take my experience and find a location that would solve all the challenges current co-working spaces in Nashville presented. I believe in community, in the power of numbers, in mentoring others and I knew if I was having this struggle other women in Nashville were too.
All women should have a workspace that inspires them, surrounded by members who make them feel safe, confident and empowered. There should be resources that help them grow both in and outside of their career.
This is why Nashville needs Collective615.
