CoCo Loco Cafe

 Hello to everyone that finds my dream, thank you for taking a moment to see things through my eyes. Everyone calls me Chef Lex and I am the owner of Coco Loco Cafe. Currently I am operating as a traveling private chef and caterer wishing to have my own space in a Cloud Kitchen or a small hole in the wall kitchen to begin with! My mission for the company is to provide since of culture and community with a local cafe in my hometown of Aurora,IL. Aurora is a very diverse city with connections to Chicago and surrounding suburbs, Aurora is the top 3 largest city in IL & would be a great spot to have a latin soul cafe! Our cafe will be focused on helping out the homeless community and at the battered women shelters. We hope to raise fundraisers and money for other programs the city has for homelessness.  We also would love to give other small businesses a room to showcase themselves at our cafe such as desserts, beverages, hookah business, photography business, etc. There is a ton of talent in Aurora and we would love to shine a spotlight on all small businesses!

Since I was younger I was very ambitious, food and travel were my favorite parts of life.  With Coco Loco cafe, we want to bring delicious food, amazing community feelings to a diverse community that does not offer what we are offering! Although, there is none like us, we have sold plates and catered for a wide majority and the cafe is for sure in need and wanted! The money will be spent on inventory and deposit to secure a location or kitchen. We expect inventory for an opening to be around $6000-$6500 and down payments can range depending on the location that is settled on. We have been in contact with some properties in Aurora, but there has been more issues with the properties and doesn't seem beneficial. There are other commercial properties available but they have much bigger. Our goal is to work out of a small hole in the wall, take out location only, with low overhead and move up from there. 

  So far it is just myself with certain family and friends that have helped me out over the years and I look forward to hiring help and trusted employees in the future. Mentorship is something I would love and please email with any advice or ideas or grants! [email protected],
