Campaign for Accessible Yoga & Wellness

I have always considered myself a healer which why I ended up as an orthopedic surgeon.  After working in private practice a few years, I became disheartened with the current state of healthcare in our country. I felt there were many obstacles that prevented me from providing my patients with optimal care. I also felt I could not empower my patients to be contributors of their own healing. The practice of yoga and meditation changed my life in such a powerful way and I knew I wanted to help as many people as I could benefit from these restorative practices. I began exploring all different types of healing and became certified in yoga, reiki, Pilates, and Ayurveda.

During the summer of 2022, I opened Sati Yoga & Wellness.  Our mission is to provide deep, trauma informed practices aimed to restore and rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit. We have an inclusive staff that reflects the community we serve.  We offer a wide variety of yoga and meditation practices in a non-heated studio that are accessible for everyBODY.  

I would love to continue to provide accessible yoga for my community but funding is becoming slim.  I have students and some members but the business is not to the point where the profits are able to pay for the expenses such as rent, payroll, utilities, and other operating costs.  It would mean the world to me to receive some funding so I can continue to provide these healing services to as many people a I can reach. It was a huge risk walking a way from my previous career but I know this is my calling and I want to help as many people as I can.
