Project Description

The mission for the Building Bridges Project is to provide indoor physical activities for homeschooled children in a low income neighborhood.

Children at play

Outside of COVID, many families are increasingly choosing to homeschool their children. In the winter months, it is more difficult to keep our children active outside of the home without paying a fortune. Building Bridges has partnered with a well known community center to provide indoor gym space, once a week, and healthy options for snacks after class, all at no cost to families. Field trips will be scheduled every 8 weeks for the remaining school year and Field Day at the end of the school year. Families will be able to honor their homeschool desires without sacrificing social interaction and physical activities.

Homeschooling

Our neighborhood is currently a desert with limited outlets for children. The sources that are available exclude low income families and Building Bridges will break this barrier of division.  Upon expansion, we will provide a community for all children who homeschool and attend conventional school.

Supporters, your funds will be used for all rental fees including gym space, travel, gym equipment, insurance, field day vendors, licenses and all applicable expenses. Your funds will be used to invest in our younger generation breaking the barrier of health vs poverty. You are amazing and greatly appreciated for investing in our children and community.

Happy kids are active kids
