BEAM illuminates the unseen corners of motherhood by shedding light on the diverse, authentic, and often untold experiences that shape a parent’s journey.
We highlight the intersection of “both/and” as well as the multitudes that moms hold together each day.
Why? Because our stories are powerful and can make a difference.
How Do We Do This?
Through our expert-led, interactive events and deeply resonant storytelling, we’re building communities of empathy, compassion, and action.
By bringing together all who are invested in seeing moms succeed - companies, advocacy organizations, and more - we are showing the world how our powerful stories can push public policy forward.
BEAM was founded on the sole principle of listening as hundreds of stories and replies poured in after one simple tweet about the lack of nursing accommodations for mothers.
In launching on April 2023, we asked moms around the world to share their stories, More than 1,500 moms and caregivers with kids of all ages shared experiences and their own highs and lows. Here's what we learned:
The demand is there. The 85M moms in the U.S. with a spending power of $2 Trillion need to be taken seriously. They power of their stories is influential and exponential in building movements for change.
This crowdfunding campaign allows us to grow BEAM into a powerful engine for storytelling and policy change.
BEAM fulfills it's mission with:
- BEAM Salons: In-person interactive events that bring together all moms for a larger purpose. These experiences begin with an event featuring VIP influential storytellers on groundbreaking topics that inspire curiosity, build connections, and empower action. BEAM Salons continue with a storytelling workshop and recording session for those interesting in sharing their own anecdotes to feature on BEAM's website.
- Compelling Content: BEAM launched the storytelling suite on September 13 with And More with Amy Kugler - a radio show and podcast that dives deep into stories about motherhood and caregiving we often don't share. We'll expand our media across audio and video as BEAM grows.
Collaboration in building public/private partnerships and collaborating with advocacy organizations in this space. We provide the content strategy and generation to deliver impactful results.
Funding will help us lay the foundation to reach our big goal of 25,000 BEAM Salon attendees and more than 10 million audio downloads by 2028.
As a crowdfund participant, you'll be a founding member of a growing national team, focused on putting moms and caregivers stories in the spotlight. None of this is possible without your support. You're as much a part of this as our founder, Amy Kugler.
Amy (below, with Evie) is a media executive, writer, and mom to two incredible kids. Her two-decade career is built on driving holistic content strategy, spanning industries from global health and government agencies to enterprise and female-founded startups. Do I have to pick a reward or can I just invest my own amount?
You can invest however much you'd like! You can pick the "Monetary Contribution" selection and input your own amount. If you'd like one of the rewards, just pick the reward category you'd like.
Can I purchase more than one reward?
Yes! When you click on a reward, it allows you to specify a "Support Amount." Enter the total of all of the rewards you would like there, and leave a note in the "Message to the entrepreneur" listing the rewards you would like to purchase.

Do I receive equity in your company?
