Bouldering Gym Start up

Being involved in the outdoors has tremendously changed my life. I want to bring more people into the outdoor community in hopes of enhancing their lives. I have seen firsthand how the outdoors can impact your mental and physical health and that’s what I want to introduce to everyone.

I want to help people’s overall health; physically and mentally. I will have a bouldering climbing facility that will offer climbing classes, fitness classes, yoga classes, and community building events. We will have remote areas for people to work and a café. I hope to create a third base for everyone so they will have their home, work, and our climbing gym.

My main goal is to create an encouraging environment for connection and community, and to help our customers build better healthy habits. Being a female business owner in a male dominated sport excites me. I am hoping to create more opportunities to bridge the gap for more females to join the sport. With my extensive knowledge of running business, being a part of this community and having run a climbing gym for over 3 years sets me up to be successful in this adventure.

I have my business plan and financials completed. At this time I am looking for funding options. Climbing gyms have big start up costs. With my current high student loan debt, borrowing a business loan for the cost of the start up is unrealistic. My best option is grants and finding a private investor. In order to secure a private investor there are a ton of financial things that need to happen. I am hoping to receive funding to get my start up off the ground. -Hiring an accountant to help sort financials and get setup for tax purposes

-Hiring a lawyer to help create a private investor contract

-Join the climbing wall association for resources and partnerships

-Down payment on a commercial lease building
