Project Description
Black Magic Spirits is a Black woman-owned company that was born during the quarantine lockdown. I realized during quarantine that bars are expensive, making my own drinks take a lot of time and ingredients and I generally just miss someone crafting me a perfect cocktail after a long day. I have been missing the skill and technique that my favorite mixologists brought to a drink. What I do not miss is the crowded bar, the per drink charge, and having to change out of my comfy sweats to go to the new speakeasy in town. Black Magic Spirits brings the convenience of a bottle of magically handcrafted cocktails to your freezer to enjoy whenever you like. When you pour a cocktail from our beautiful apothecary-style bottles you:
SAVE TIME, there is no need to chop, strain, whisk, or shake - just pour your drink, directly from the bottle.
SAVE MONEY, you don't need to worry about the drink prices being elevated because your tastes are.
SAVE STRESS, no need to leave your living room, or change out of your sweats to enjoy a perfect handcraft cocktail.
The target audience for Black Magic Spirits is anyone who enjoys having a craft cocktail. People who want to enjoy a quality drink at home, either because they don’t want to pay an extremely high bar tab or be in a crowded bar.
Why Crowdfunding?
We explored many different paths to funding Black Magic Spirits including traditional funding from VCs, beverage accelerators, and banks. But community is important to us, and crowdfunding gives us the opportunity to connect to the community that wants us to succeed. The money raised during this campaign will go directly towards the first stage in our formulation process. This exciting step is pivitol and it's start will mean that a back-woman-owned spirits brand has entered a market dominated by men. You will be helping to make herstory!

The name Black Magic is two-fold playing on the term Black Girl Magic and the look and lore of witchcraft (get it, witch-craft cocktails). Blending wind, water, earth, and fire to create magically mixed craft cocktails.
