Black Diamond represents black business ownership and promotes equality for ALL. We are taking an innovative approach on ending systemic racism. Our current social landscape is deliberately designed to "keep it's knee" on the neck of minorities. Yes, systemic racism is real. And people of color – African Americans, Latinos, and other minorities – face it every day. Racism is woven into our current society. The practice of discrimination and segregation continues, it’s just now package differently. Below illustrates areas where minorities are excluded from receiving equal opportunities and mandates.
We are committed to exceed your expectations with every visit so we can become a viable resource to inter-city communities by allocating a percentage of our revenue to fund programs focused on education, career development, financial literacy, and health and wellness. A. No. Black Diamond Nail Salon will represent black business ownership where ALL are welcome. If you value top notch customer service, the latest trends, and want to see change in our current social environment, Black Diamond welcomes you.
Q. Will Black Diamond offer additional services besides nail treatments?
A. Yes. We will also pamper you with waxing, massage, and make-up services.
Q. When will your salon open?
A. With your support, we look forward to a successful launch of Black Diamond Nail Salon in March 2021.
Q. What is Systemic Racism?
A. Wikipedia defines the term as “the formalization of a set of institutional, historical, cultural and interpersonal practices within a society that more often than not puts one social or ethnic group in a better position to succeed, and at the same time disadvantages other groups in a consistent and constant manner that disparities develop between the groups over a period of time.”
Q. How do we come together to promote change?
A. Supporting Black Diamond Nail Salon and other minority businesses will assist with promoting change. Additional steps you can take include:
Cast your vote in every election at every level, not just the presidential elections. Congress is the legislative branch of the federal government and makes laws for the nation. Congress has two legislative bodies or chambers: the US Senate and the US House of Representatives. Anyone elected to either body can propose a new law.
Educate yourself and others - It is your responsibility to intentionally seek out resources to learn the ugly truth of how we got where we are today.
