Project Description
Becoming a parent at 20 years old made me ask myself: how can I find out about resources that can help me? Who can I talk to that can relate? Where can I find a sitter last minute for work or school? Every service building is booked for months, I do not have other parent friends and no one to call to baby sit were my answers.
Kinfolk takes care of it all from free sitting services, transportation, clothes and food to group sessions, and events and outing for families, children and adults.
Kinfolk space allows young parents to not feel alone or forgotten but to be acknowledged and supported. Providing this will not allow parents to focus and enjoy the journey of raising of their kid(s) and, allow them to focus and enjoy who they are outside of being a parent as well.
To ensure our members are always receiving maximum support and resources we will need help with $500 as a start to fund our support and resources account.

What is Kinfolk?
- An organization for young parents to access resources and support to make parenting easier! We offer FREE services for Child Care Sitting, Transportation, Diaper, Food and Clothes Essentials, Grants for our business-owner parents, Emergency Home Placement for evicted and homeless families and more!
What is Kinfolk Accepting Donations For?
- To allow Kinfolk to provide to our young parents maximum support and resources we ask for donations to enable longevity to our services and resources.
Just Because I Care
Our Donor Grand Finale Event will be organized from the Kinfolk community to gratefully thank our donors. This will take place virtually or in person to receive direct acknowledgement, a recognition gift and a segment created that will be all about what your help will allow Kinfolk to do. Our Donor Grand Finale will be a great opportunity to express to a community of people who you are and introduce you to many more in-need souls!
