Project Description
Help me start Artists apartment and Gallery on the west coast of Iceland. My name is Álfheiður Hildur Gunnsteinsdóttir and I live in a place called Höfn. I have always loved doing crafts and finding things in nature to use. When I walk around in nature I am always picking up rocks, driftwood, sea glass and all kind of things. I look at those things in my hand and think " what can I make out of this?"
Now I want to change my passion for something more. I want to rent an abandoned stable house next to the house I live in. In the same house, there is a cozy apartment for 2 persons and easy to renovate another apartment for 2 - 4 persons. I want to change the stable into a workspace for art and crafts. There will be all the equipment you need to make crafts. ( sewing machine, leather sewing machine, woodworking tools, paint and much much more).
It is located by a river where you can fish and a short walk to the beach and in the winter it is the perfect place to see the Northern Lights.
With this project, I want to offer people from all over the world to stay in these apartments and enjoy nature and make crafts.
With my goal of 45.000$, I will renovate the stable house into Art and craft workspace. Open a Gallery where people can sell their arts and crafts. Get the other apartment ready to stay in and buy all the equipment for the workspace.
