Project Description
Hi there, I’m Anastasia Elliot. I am an independent singer, songwriter, and recording artist based in Nashville, TN. I am known for my purple hair, my brand aesthetic, and the way that I infuse alternative music with my classical piano and operatic background.
I am an advocate for mental health and authentic self-expression. I love to give speeches on mental health and my personal journey with trauma and PTSD.
I have a mission to entertain and enlighten my fans in many creative ways by offering them an opportunity to escape into my world of music and art. I infuse a visually rich aspect to my projects to give the audience a way to immerse into the experience. My branding is intentional to give fans an opportunity to escape into my world of music and art - where they can connect to their inner spirit and explore the depths of their desires.
I believe that we can all find freedom in creativity but it can only be achieved by fighting the stigmas surrounding trauma and providing truly accessible mental health care. In order to do this, I want to create a space where limitations on creativity do not exist. A place where people can find hope and encouragement to take better care of their minds and bodies to live their best lives.
In this next year, my goal is to release and market my debut album, La Petite Mort and finish all of the ambitious content that I wish to create to support it.
My hope is to get the music and spread my mission to as many people as possible around the world. I hope to tour all over the US as both an artist and a public speaker.
The first two releases from La Petite Mort received great reviews from many online and print publications. This earned me the opportunity to speak at NAMM about the future of technology for independent artists. NAMM is an annual conference featuring some of the most innovative and prominent members of the music industry. Additionally, I have given mental health speeches in partnership with The Great Khalid Foundation, NAMI, and many others.
I am so excited to be doing this as an independent on my own terms with the ability to collaborate with other creatives that share the same vision and work ethic. I have a solid strategy for marketing my album and trying to get my message in front of as many potential fans as possible but my biggest struggle at the moment is a lack of funding. Struggling to fund our productions has us relying on sweat equity and tons of creativity. The pressure is high and yet I am relentless when it comes to working through the limitations in order to pull off a video as if it was created by a major label.
I have a small but mighty team that helps pull together various tasks who are also working for very little to no payment. Funding will definitely keep us in a better workflow and give everyone involved the proper compensation for their contributions.

The Challenges >>> Funding the work is the toughest thing. Anastasia is also a co-producer of her work which is a rare breed in the music industry. Without a major label, projects come out-of-pocket, there is not an extensive team to market and promote the work... EVERY RESPONSIBILITY is falling on the shoulders of Anastasia and her small team. There is a big need for EXPERT Public Relations, Marketing, Managers, Editors, Bookers, Costumers, and more.
- Who is Anastasia Elliot?
Anastasia is the embodiment of her name which means RESURRECTION. She is an architect - the builder of worlds as her vision stands. She is known for her PATIENCE to see her vision through. Her tenacity to win shows up in her ability to never give up and push the envelope. Anastasia is not just a musician, her biggest pull is to combine multiple disciplines and layers to give the most expression to her audience.
She is an avid LEARNER and will pour as much energy into learning every craft that could contribute to the work. She is a team player and learns all of the works that every collaborator offers in order to best communicate with those involved. Anastasia enjoys bringing out the skills and talents of others.
One day, you may see Anastasia Elliot become a full-fledged producer and running her own label where she can mentor others to help them improve their branding, aesthetics, and motivate them to achieve their dreams.
- How much is really needed to get a project like this completed?
The starting costs can range into multiple six figures - just in order to launch at the level of an artist that is represented with a major record label. At this very humble funding level of $25,000, we hope to at least have a chance to showcase this project to the masses and attract new levels of success. On average each high-concept/high-art video would cost at least $25K EACH - but we have learned to bootstrap and get collaborators to help us achieve this in the most creative yet budget-friendly way possible.
AFTER key elements are produced - the MARKETING budget steps in and there are numerous costs involved to get the work seen. We use advertising to enable us to show our videos to the right channels. Some of our budgets will be used to help pitch the music to different radio campaigns, get in front of touring companies, and bring awareness of Anastasia Elliot to more audiences.
- How active is Anastasia Elliot in the music scene?
Anastasia attends as many opportunities out there to help raise awareness to other bands and independent artists. She is constantly networking and is a proponent of growing the non-country side of Nashville music. There is a need to have venues promote local artists in Nashville. Her passion includes the growth of other passionate musicians and providing solutions to help their journey.
